Tim Burtons Beetlejuice Beetlejuice has its world premiere at the 81st Venice International Film Festival today, and ahead of its North American debut on September 6, star Jenna Ortega is making it a point to say that she wasnt trying to rip off Winona Ryder. Ortega stars as Astrid Deetz in the sequel, daughter to Ryders character of Lydia, and while the two share obvious similarities, the 21-year-old star believes that her character comes from a different place than Ryders did 36 years ago.
