Cowboy expert says Kevin Costner‘s Western drama of 2003, Open Range, is one of the best cowboy movies ever made. While no one ever denied it was a great execution of the genre with visible mastery in its set pieces, Old West historian and cowboy culture authority, Michael Grauer, has praised Open Range above other Western movies because of its fine attention to detail and historical accuracy.
