The second chapter of Kevin Costner‘s self-funded Western epic, Horizon: An American Saga, will receive similar film festival treatment as the first installment, despite the franchise’s financial woes. Chapter One premiered at the prestigious Cannes Film Festival earlier this year, where it was met with a seven-minute standing ovation. However, faith in the franchise’s longevity faltered due to underwhelming box-office returns and lackluster reviews. As a result, Chapter Two (which was scheduled to hit theaters later this year), has been shelved indefinitely, while Chapter One has found a second life on VOD.
