Released in 1983, Dragons Lair was a highly innovative arcade game that used laserdisc technology in a way that hadnt been seen in gaming up to that point. The graphics were spectacular, the game-play was immaculate, and it was so popular that it led to an entire franchise that birthed many sequels, comics, toys, and an animated TV series in 1984. In 2020, a live-action film was commissioned by Netflix with Ryan Reynolds tapped to play Dirk the Daring, and while it was at first thought to be an interactive film which hearkened back to the Choose Your Own Adventure books of yesteryear, all that has changed according to producer Roy Lee.
