SpongeBob SquarePants fans at the San Diego Comic Con on Thursday were treated with a surprise announcement at the Nickelodeon panel for the long-running animated series, with the voice cast in attendance. Panel moderator Kel Mitchell, who voiced the character Beans McBeans in the series, introduced the legendary Mark Hamill as a surprise guest, who took the stage to thunderous applause from the crowd in Hall H. The Star Wars actor then announced he would be voicing the fan-favorite character The Flying Dutchman in the upcoming theatrical film The SpongeBob Movie: The Search for SquarePants.
